ADAC GT Masters 2019

Callaway Competition will not race in the last round of the ADAC GT Masters’ 2019 season at the Sachsenring. For the first time since 2007, the Corvette team from Leingarten, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, near Heilbronn, will miss a race in the “League of Super Sports Cars”.

Callaway Competition and its developed-in-Leingarten Corvette C7 GT3-R, with the two drivers Marvin Kirchhöfer and Markus Pommer, will not be able to compete in the season finale of the ADAC GT Masters series at the Sachsenring from September 27 to 29.

The longest competing team in the German national GT series has participated in 188 races since the founding of the ADAC GT Masters in 2007 and, for the first time, the team will have to sit out a round in the “League of Super Sports Cars”.

After having crashed the #77 Corvette C7 GT3-R last weekend at the Hockenheimring, in both races, the damage was so extensive that it would be impossible to repair for the last round at the Sachsenring.

Although it was possible to rebuild the Corvette overnight in Hockenheim after the first wreck in the Saturday race, with much passion and tremendous perseverance, the second major impact with the track boundary in the Sunday race, after the previous collision, damaged the race car even more severely.

Thus, as it turns out, not only the battle for the championship in the ADAC GT Masters was finally lost on Sunday afternoon, but also the opportunity to race at the Sachsenring.

Despite this, Callaway Competition will have a Box at the Sachsenring, but only the street version of the racing Corvette will be on Hand.
